Prof. Polo is full Professor of Economics at Bocconi University in Milan and is a member of the Economic Advisory Group for Competition Policy at the DG Competition in Brussels. He is a Special Consultant to LECG.Prof. Polo has advised on a variety of competition policy issues in both Italy and Brussels. He has appeared as an expert before the European Commission and Italian Antitrust Authority for cases including Fiat Tractors, Microsoft, Telecom Italia, Solvay, EMI, Assicurazioni Generali and Pfizer. He teaches and performs research in the general areas of industrial organisation, competition policy and regulation of industry.Prof. Polo has a PhD in Economics from Bocconi University. He is a member of the editorial boards of a number of economics and regulation journals published in Italy and is a referee for journals including International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Industrial Economics, Economic Journal, European Economic Review and Journal of Political Economy.
