Federico Etro is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Milan. He is also Director of ECG, a company for economic and industrial consulting and President of INTERTIC, a think-tank on innovation and competition. He is an expert of industrial policy and macroeconomic issues, with publications on the leading journals in economics as American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Rand Journal of Economics, etc. He studied at UCLA and Harvard University and previously taught at the Luiss University in Rome. He has been a consultant for the Ministry of Economy of Italy and for major international companies on antitrust issues.
