Subject:Call for papers – Special Issue on "Competition Policy in Developing Countries" by RIO
A special issue with selected papers on the theme of “Competition Policy in Developing Countries” will be published by the Review of Industrial Organization.

The editors welcome the submission of papers in all areas of competition policy with application to, or focus on, developing countries.

Specific areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

i. Differences between the appropriate application of competition policy in developing, as opposed to developed, countries.
ii. Studies of the development of competition policy, or of specific competition cases, in particular developing counties that have lessons that extend beyond the studied countries.
iii. The appropriate design of competition policy institutions in developing countries, and challenges associated with current actual designs.

Papers will be selected from:

• Papers relevant to the topic presented to CRESSE 2016 and 2017 Conferences,
• Papers from the World Congress on Comparative Economics to be held in St. Petersburg in June 2017,
Other papers directly solicited from relevant experts.

Submission process:

Papers may be submitted to any of the three guest editors:
